Use this W-2 form to report wage and withholding information. This 8-part carbonless form includes a set of forms for employers, including copies A (federal, red scannable), 1 (state and city) and D (record). A second set of forms for employees includes copies B (federal), 2 (state and city) and C (record). Your typewriter or pin-fed printer will print the employer and employee forms in 2 different passes. This ensures the legibility of all information on all parts. Mail employer copies in a batch to the SSA. Use compatible window envelopes for employee copies.
